Telecast Fiber Systems and Lighthouse Jumbovision Power World-Class HD Video Display Installation at American Airlines Center

Worcester, MA (PRWEB) January 26, 2010

Thanks to state-of-the-art fiber optic transport gear from Telecast Fiber Systems, a dazzling new array of 23 Lighthouse LED video screens in the American Airlines Center is giving the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars even more to cheer about. Telecast's Python II? and Rattler ? HD/SDI fiber transmit/receive systems seamlessly transmit all video feeds for the installation, which boasts the only 1920 x 1080 high-definition (HD) video screens in an NBA or NHL facility and ensures broadcast studio quality HD viewing for every seat in the house.

"With such a large-scale and complex installation, every variable needs to be completely reliable and rock-solid," said Randy Breedlove, manager of broadcast services for the Center. "The Telecast Fiber gear has given us complete peace of mind and ensures that all feeds are delivered to the right devices in a high-quality and dependable manner. ? There is no question that the Telecast equipment is a perfect fit for our requirements."

The installation and system integration was provided by Lighthouse partner TS Sports, and the LED technology was supplied by Lighthouse Jumbovision. The centerpiece of the American Airlines Center's new video display system is a center-hung LED display featuring four 1080p HD screens, four scoring screens, and two advertising screens. The installation also includes two stadium-sized video screens and a 360-degree fascia banner encircling the entire arena to display dynamic advertising content clearly visible from any seat.

A single Telecast Python II transmit/receive unit handles all eight bi-directional HD/SDI video feeds for the center-hung display. In addition, TS Sports also installed four Telecast Rattler miniature transmit/receive systems to deliver HD/SDI feeds from the arena's production control room to the scoreboard control room, where they are received by Lighthouse's proprietary processing system for delivery to LED boards throughout the venue. In the near future, the Center plans to install three additional Python II units to expand its video capabilities to 32 channels.

"The American Airlines Center is a high-profile, high-end installation that has set a new benchmark for quality, resolution, and performance," said Ed Whitaker, director of sales for Lighthouse Jumbovision. "As such, we would not think of choosing anything but Telecast Fiber equipment for seamless, reliable transmission of HD video feeds. We have a long-standing relationship with Telecast and have always been able to depend on the company's products to help our clients get optimal results from even the most complex fiber optic video projects."

Alaskajewelry.com Forms Strategic Partnership with Alaska Airlines

Sitka, AK (PRWEB) October 8, 2005

Alaska Airlines Mileage plan members can now receive extra miles when purchasing jewelry online.

Alaskajewelry.com is a privately owned jewelry Etailer based in Sitka, Alaska. They also have two retail locations in Sitka.

This partnership represents a huge benefit for Alaska Airlines mileage plan members, as well as those who fly on Alaska Airline's Mileage Plan Airlines Partners American Airlines, Big Sky Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Era Aviation, Hawaiian Airlines, Horizon Air, LAN, Northwest Airlines, PenAir, and Qantas.

Through a recent partnership with Alaska Airlines, Alaskajewelry.com is now offering 1 mile for every dollar spent on their website.

Where is this website: http://www.alaskajewelry.com For specific information on the mileage plan benefits go to: http://www.alaskajewelry.com/alaska_jewelry_air_miles.php or for the link on the Alaska Airlines website: http://www.alaskaair.com/mileageplan/PartnerMilesOps.asp 3rd in list.

When did this happen: The final arrangements were completed 10/04/2005

More Information: Oines says that he originally approached Alaska Airlines about becoming a Mileage Plan Partner to benefit other Alaskans, but most of the responses so far have been from customers outside of Alaska.

"Living on an island in Southeast Alaska, my only option for air travel is Alaska Airlines, and this is true for most people in the state. Here in Alaska, almost everyone is an Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Member, because it's the only airline we fly! Most of us use Alaska Airlines credit cards too-anything to get free travel!

"What I've learned in the short time the program has been in effect is that it's not just Alaskans who are mileage plan members. In fact, most of the responses so far have been from our customers in Washington and California."

Oines says that what started as "An Alaskan Jewelry Store" now does business all over the world.

"We've sent orders to England, Australia, Japan, and Spain-just sent a gold nugget ring to one of our soldiers serving in Iraq. Actually, we just finished an engagement ring for a soldier coming home from Iraq as well."

"Really, it's a benefit to anyone who buys jewelry and also flies, because the miles can also be used on any of Alaska Airline's partner carriers as well, which effectively span the globe. American Airlines, British Airways, Continental, Delta, Hawaiian, Northwest-they're all partners."

"I think that offering bonus miles is a huge benefit for our mutual customers."
